Robert takes on new quality engineer role
With exacting high standards being central to the design-led Abode brand, the manufacturer has made an important appointment, with Robert Innes taking on the newly created role of quality engineer.
Robert joins the company from Esterform Packaging, the UK's largest independent convert of PET (Polyethylene terephthalate), where he worked for 21 years in a similar quality management role.
The quality engineer role is new for Abode, with Robert taking responsibility for internal audits, preparation of procedures and continuously improving quality with Abode's factories. He will also oversee customer issues, hold continuous improvement workshops with fellow Abode employees and support the new product development and manufacturing teams.
"The quality of our processes has a direct impact on the quality of our products making it vital to have the right team in place to oversee procedures," comments Darren Holliday, managing director of Abode.
"Robert's appointment means that we now have a dedicated engineer who is very experienced and knowledgeable and will guide the way, ensuring that our high quality standards are not just met, but exceeded, as our customers expect."
