Driven by success at Sirius 2018 International Conference
Sirius Buying Group, the major buying group of electrical appliance and kitchen retail solutions, has just enjoyed its biggest annual international conference to date, with the event being completely sold-out and Sirius hosting a full party of 140 delegates: made up of group members and their respective business partners, plus key delegates from group Approved Suppliers.
The group also welcomed a number of delegates who registered to attend as first-timers, and a pool of brand new members to the group.
Providing the ultimate retail networking experience, the event provided the ideal forum for the electrical retail industry to present to a host of leading electrical retail members with similar business interest and goals.
Steve Jones, commercial director at Sirius Buying Group comments "To have this event completely sell out is testament to how the group is regarded by the electrical appliance industry and thusly, our members and suppliers.
"Initial feedback from both our Approved Suppliers and Members to Sirius is extremely positive, with new purchases and enquiries hitting a record high: up 30% on last year. In fact, it is the direct feedback we receive year-on-year that drives us to maintain this level of B2B, and the 5* Provencal location [The Lakes Hotel Vilamoura, Algarve, Portugal] definitely helps with that! That said, we are always looking at how we can improve our annual International Conference and make it even more successful.'

The final day of the Conference came to a close with an evening of celebration at the Gala Awards Dinner: a prestigious awards night where Sirius recognises industry excellence across the electrical appliance retail sectors and all those in attendance.
Throughout the night, those attending took the opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause and successfully raised an impressive £13,000 for Cancer Research: all thanks to the generosity of the organisation's suppliers donating products, prizes and experiences, which were bid for on the night.
