Hoover to heat up cooking range with sous vide system
Hoover has launched a sous vide system within its Vogue Premium Collection. Aimed at bolstering the brand's premium cooking portfolio, the system enables users to cook restaurant-quality food in their own home and is now available to retailers across the UK.
French for 'under vacuum', sous vide is a cooking method that utilises bagged or pouched food, which is then cooked using a water or steam bath.
Generally considered a healthier and tastier alternative to other cooking methods, this technique doesn't require oils or fats and preserves vitamins and minerals, unlike boiling or steaming.
The new system comprises a vacuum sealer drawer, combined compact steam oven and a blast chiller and shock freezer.
