Swiss Krono's CamuStyleTX wins prestigious German Design Award

CamuStyleTX, the latest collection from global decorative panel specialist Swiss Krono, has won the award for Excellent Product Design in the Material and Surfaces category of the prestigious German Design Awards 2019.

Available exclusively in the UK from IDS, the collection harnesses the aesthetics of natural limestone and open weave fabric, expertly combining them into the unique CamuStyleTX texture.

Says Dave Huggins, business development director at IDS:

"We are delighted to see that CamuStyleTX has been recognised as an innovative material by a high-calibre, independent judging panel at the German Design Awards, one of the most renowned design competitions worldwide.

"We brought CamuStyleTX to the UK market because we could see its appeal for furniture manufacturers and designers, harnessing the key interior trends for matt surfaces, industrial styling and an organic natural palette. This award reaffirms that decision."

CamuStyleTX's palette of 12 organic and industrial decors is ideal for a variety of applications including stylish furniture components, door frontals, wall panelling, worksurfaces, table tops, counter cladding, shelving and doors.

The judging panel stated that "the surfaces impress with an aesthetic which gives furniture and rooms a very unique effect and elegant appearance. A great material whose striking surface structures can also be experienced by touch, which inspires and stimulates creativity."

CamuStyleTX assures a durable, easy maintenance finish and comes with a flexible choice of an MFC, MDF or CDF core in a variety of sizes and thicknesses, with matching edging tape. The company produces the core board from 100% virgin wood material which meets and exceeds the standard requirements for both FSC and PEFC.
