British Ceramic Tile crowned 'Made in Britain Member of the Year' 2018
Congratulations to British Ceramic Tile, chosen as the 'Made in Britain Member of the Year 2018'.
The tile manufacturing business joined the Made in Britain network in 2017, and since then has delivered a series of initiatives with MiB and its members to champion British manufacturing and share best practice.
In October 2017 the company hosted an insightful marketing and sales workshop in the South West region for local Devon-based businesses. Over 40 local manufacturers from MiB's portfolio of #1000makers signed up to learn how to 'sell more with the marque' and drive sales forward into 2019.
The workshop gave local businesses the chance to network and learn from industry experts with a focus on sales, marketing, exports and PR led by MiB CEO, John Pearce, Devon Chamber of Commerce CEO, George Cowcher and British Ceramic Tile's CEO, Tony Taylor.
MiB is on a mission to help UK companies celebrate the best of British manufacturing. By bringing together the UK's manufacturing community under one registered marque, the MiB team provide businesses with information, guidance and advice from leading experts and other members to help them trade more effectively at home or abroad.
Last year British Ceramic Tile has forged relationships with a number of MiB members, supported the MiB workshop programme and provided valuable feedback on potential new initiatives to make the most of this strong and prosperous partnership.
Upon learning of the company's win, Liam Poole, head of customer marketing at British Ceramic Tile said: "What a fantastic way to end the year. As a company we have enjoyed working closely with MiB, and building relationships with likeminded businesses. The organisation is a perfect fit for us as a company, allowing us to communicate our British heritage and passion for UK manufacturing. We'll be continuing to support the network into 2019, and hope to encourage more British businesses to do the same."
