Bespoke concrete solutions from The Poured Project

* Bespoke-concrete-solutions.jpgWe'll be hearing a lot more about the 'The Poured Project' in future as KBB specialist The Lenny Agency has just been awarded the PR contract.

Lenny tells us that the Poured Project, based in Yorkshire, is the shared passion of a small team of experts in concrete production which creates exceptional concrete pieces for residential and commercial interiors.

Versatile and durable, concrete has a raw beauty akin to natural stone, but can be combined with an array of pigments and cast into any shape. "This means that, with the right expertise, the possibilities for bespoke design are endless," says company founder Andy Pedley, a British furniture maker with years of training in restoration and bespoke design.

"Using the highest quality components sourced from local suppliers, our skilled makers have elevated concrete production into a craft, using this hardwearing material to create anything from striking wall cladding to sculptural basins.

"Every stage is done by hand in our specialist workshops, which have been designed to provide the optimum conditions for curing and finishing concrete. Our wooden moulds are all handmade, drawing on years of carving and turning expertise.

"Our vast range of pigments means you can be as creative as you like with your colour palette, and all surfaces are sealed for extra protection. Our concrete offers a smooth finish without the need for polishing, but we can create a subtle etched effect if you're after a more textural, organic feel."

The Poured Project's concrete is naturally water resistant and can withstand extreme temperatures. It can also be poured and cured at a depth of less than 10mm, which makes the design process extremely versatile and allows the team to create an array of elegant forms.
