New operations manager appointed for Kitchens International
Scottish kitchen designer and retailer Kitchens International, has recently appointed a new operations manager. Francis Waite, in this new role, is responsible for overall warehouse management, vehicle fleet, tools and consumables, management checks and reports, CPD and training.
Having spent 22 years in the British Army as a movement controller for the Royal Logistics Corps, Francis is well versed with the movement of personnel and equipment worldwide in support of operations and exercises. His army career enabled him to gain a BSc (Hons) in Logistical Management, as well as qualifications in leadership, management and operational planning.
Francis says: "The kitchen industry is a completely different environment to my last job but is already interesting and I look forward to the new challenges ahead."
Kitchens International has also just expanded its sales designing team with two new appointments. Scott McLean (left) joins the Tillicoultry studio, while Gary Gourlay joins the Edinburgh Dundas team.
Both are highly skilled... Scott was previously senior design and project manager at Brooklyn Kitchens in Stirling and before that was with Paula Rosa Manhattan, supplying contract kitchens. With a degree in Architectural Studies he is a great asset to the team.
Gary, who graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee with a degree in Interior and Environmental Design, joined from Vidaco in Fife. He has a varied career as a visual merchandiser and space planner for Dobbies, as well as having designed luxury hotels in Cyprus and the Middle East. His skills have meant he has hit the ground running and is relishing designing residential kitchens
