Grohe Bau: affordable bathroom solutions for low-pressure buildings

* GROHE-Bau-deck-mounted.jpgGrohe has introduced several new products for those working with customers in a low pressure setting. The new BauEdge deck mounted bath filler and bath and shower mixer are designed specifically for vented systems, allowing the user to enjoy a more fulfilling and pleasurable shower experience. Both products are suitable for installations with a minimum water pressure of just 0.2 bar.

Complete bathroom solutions that offer coordinated design across brassware and ceramics are enabling designers, installers and retailers to offer their customers a consistency in quality and design that is guaranteed to deliver excellence in performance and style. The Grohe Bau bathroom range is an affordable collection that comprises basins and complementing mixer taps, bath fillers, toilets and much more, all characterised by a timeless rounded design.

Grohe Bau has been developed as a viable solution for all projects; from consumer retrofits and affordable new build and social housing developments to commercial buildings and hotels.

Now, Grohe Bau offers more versatility and design options than ever following the extension of the range which includes new sizing options in the BauEdge and BauLoop tap lines, an all-new BauFlow range of taps in compact designs which are ideal for smaller bathrooms like ensuites and cloakrooms, and new deck-mounted bath fillers and bath and shower mixers.

The latter two are of particular significance as they have been developed to meet a growing demand for premium quality build bathroom products that work specifically in buildings with low water pressure.

"There are a significant number of homes in the UK and period buildings used for commercial purposes that are still served by a vented system and subsequently experience low hot water pressure," explains Paul Bailey, senior category manager at Grohe UK says.

"This has the most impact on shower performance and can leave users feeling far from refreshed and satisfied. Particularly as the bathroom is becoming increasingly considered as a space for wellness and self-care, the need for a good quality shower is in more demand than ever before.

"The new BauEdge bath filler and bath and shower mixer offer an affordable solution which still benefit from the high standards of Grohe design and technology, in what is a niche but highly demanded sector of the market."

Users may first notice a drastic change in the power of their water flow after upgrading their existing system to their dream shower set up, many of which are designed only for buildings with high water pressure. Therefore, when working with customers in a low-pressure setting, it is important to offer fulfilling and pleasurable shower experience. The BauEdge bath filler and bath and shower mixer are suitable for installations with a minimum water pressure of just 0.2 bar.

With a dazzling, long-lasting Chrome finish and a contemporary rounded design, the fittings work seamlessly with other products in the Bau range and also complement a number of Grohe head showers including Rainshower and Tempesta.
