Wren Kitchens is offering employment opportunities to staff at Bathstore, which announced that it had gone into administration with 500 jobs at risk.
As one of the fastest growing bricks and mortar retailers and a leading kitchen specialist, Wren Kitchens is always on the lookout for talent - especially skilled designers and those with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Named the best place to work in the UK by the world's largest jobsite Indeed, Wren Kitchens employs over 4,700 staff, and this week, it has hosted two recruitment events dedicated to those employed by Bathstore.
Successful interviews have already taken place, and new recruits will benefit from Wren's extensive in-house training at its headquarters in Barton-upon-Humber.
A third Bathstore Recruitment Event will be held at Wren's Solihull showroom on Wednesday, 3rd July from 10:00 to 13:00.
The retail positions Wren Kitchens are offering are:
* Kitchen Designers
* Information Advisors
* Area General Managers
Those interested should register by emailing [email protected]
This comes as part of Wren's extensive recruitment programme with plans of employing around 600 kitchen designers over the next 12 months alone. These new retail roles support the continual growth of the business, including the opening of 12 new showrooms across the UK this year.
Locations of upcoming Wren showrooms include Sunderland, Blackburn, Shrewsbury, Acton, Stockton, Enfield, Harrogate, Edinburgh, Woverhampton, Edmonton and Bradford.
"Those who face losing their jobs at Bathstore have transferrable attributes that we're looking for including first-class customer service and creative designer skills to help our customers' dream kitchens come to life," says the company.
"Wren is a family-run, passionate business that's committed to developing and nurturing talent and we're looking for new recruits to join the Wren family to help shape our exciting journey and lead the way in the retail kitchen industry."
Every week Wren designs, manufactures and delivers 2,000 kitchens to customers' homes through its own supply chain and has supplied kitchens worth more than £1bn in the last three years alone. It has recently announced it will create up to 1,200 jobs by 2021 with the plans of opening a new £120 million kitchen manufacturing facility.
Launched in 2009, Wren manufactures all of its kitchens at The Nest in Barton-upon-Humber, Lincolnshire, and at production facilities in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, and Howden, Yorkshire. It has 79 showrooms nationwide and kitchens are delivered fully built, with doors, drawers and wirework pre-installed, throughout the UK by Wren's fleet of lorries.
There are three product ranges: Vogue, an affordable flat pack collection; Infinity, available in five ranges, eight colours and comprising more than 100 types and size of unit; and Infinity Plus, with six ranges, more than 2,000 colours and a choice of nearly 2,000 different units.
Wren is committed to the highest standard of manufacturing and service, providing the perfect experience for every customer, acting responsibly and with honesty and integrity.
Earlier this year, it was awarded the Manufacturing Guild Mark by the Furniture Makers' Company in recognition of its exceptional manufacturing standards and the Made In Britain marque in recognition of its commitment to excellence.
