Mereway Bathrooms taste success at MSM Exhibition

* Mereway-bw.jpgMereway Bathrooms customer MSM Plumbing & Heating Supplies recently hosted a successful trade exhibition in Bournemouth where 300 visitors attended.

MSM outlets are spread across the south of the country with the head office based in Poole, Dorset and with subsequent branches in Bournemouth, Ferndown, Newport (Isle of Wight) and Eastbourne.

MSM made the decision to pull its top suppliers together to form the event with the purpose of generating further business and raising brand awareness in the local areas. Through personal invitation, a selection of local tradesmen from targeted market sectors were approached; the exhibition was the third of its kind, with two shows previously held in Eastbourne, but on a much smaller scale.

Client invitations were sent to a broad database comprising plumbers, builders, developers, property maintenance companies, bathroom and kitchen installers, hoteliers, guest houses, B&B's, architects, interior designers, lettings agencies and nursing / care homes.

Situated within one of the largest hotel conference facilities in Bournemouth, the MSM exhibition was held within the Ambassador Suite at the Carrington House Hotel with an impressive 44 of MSM Plumbing and Heating Supplies top suppliers in attendance.

Mereway Bathrooms held a strong stand presence, located on the main walkway within the exhibition. The stand displayed recently launched products; a stunning modular unit in new finish Java Wenge with a 900 wide integral Linea basin and complementing illuminated mirror cabinet. Alongside was popular finish Adriatic Gloss White furniture with new Dante back to wall WC and contemporary Dante basin, Levo mixer tap and stunning new Nero solid surface worktop from their new Fusion collection.

The exhibition was put together and designed by MSM Plumbing & Heating Supplies business development manager Andy Barton; Andy ensured that there was a smooth flow around the room with plenty to see and interact with. An attention grabbing kitchen display greeted visitors as they approached from the sweeping stairs at the front of the room for an impressive impact.

The doors opened at 10am and the show ran right through until 12 midnight - a straight 14 hours to ensure visitors would not miss out. Entertainment included a Casino and visitor raffle consisting of expensive prizes donated from each exhibiting supplier; prizes included a camcorder, digital camera and a full size plasma TV.

MSM began back in 2003 and after working for a large independent plumbing and heating merchant for many years; Mark Woodford, Steve Rockett and Mark McGowan decided to set up on their own. MSM Plumbing & Heating Supplies started its life with Director Mark Woodford heading up Sales & Marketing, Steve Rockett as Operations Director and Mark McGowan as Financial Director.

Steve manages the day to day running of the showrooms; the Poole branch opened up first, closely followed by the Bournemouth branch and then Ferndown. They later acquired two additional branches at Newport -Isle of Wight and Eastbourne.

Steve Rockett comments: "What makes us different to a lot of our competitors is we can offer a much broader range of products from renewables and heating products through to bathrooms and kitchens."

Mark Woodford adds: "The exhibition has given us an excellent launch-pad for introducing new product ranges, with at least half a dozen within the exhibition; we have formed new partnerships at the show and with the imminent launch of a brand new website to reinforce our efforts, we're making a big statement to the industry. This show was largely about brand awareness into new markets." he continues "Andy Barton our Sales Manager has achieved commendable results."

Tim Wood says: "The association of our products with MSM is showing excellent potential and growth opportunities. The displays we used for the show are being relocated into their Poole showroom so Mereway will then hold the majority bathroom furniture presence with a total of five displays on show".

Mereway Bathrooms continues to support dealers with projects such as these. If you would like to know more about becoming a Mereway Bathrooms dealer:
