Duravit support Blueprint for the Future

* Duravit.jpgDuravit tells us it is delighted to be part of Blueprint for the Future - a three-day event designed to showcase of the work of the brightest, most interesting and challenging architecture students graduating Part II across London and the UK.

The event has paired 13 leading architecture schools with 13 international design brands, resulting in a 'trail' of exhibitions which are held over three days (9th, 10th, 11th July), in showrooms across Clerkenwell, London's beating heart of design.

Duravit is hosting the students from the Kingston School of Art and looks forward to welcoming them into its London showroom on Clerkenwell Road.

"When we opened our doors last year, Duravit made it clear that events, seminars and activities supporting the design community was an integral part of our selecting Clerkenwell as the location for our UK flagship showroom," says Martin Carroll, managing director, Duravit UK.

"Duravit is determined to not only participate in events such as CDW, but to get involved with activities which support the heart of the design community. Blueprint for the Future, gives us the opportunity to do just that - by showcasing the work of architects of the future."

The event is free and the entry from the students at Kingston School of Art will be on display from 9th July.

Timothy Smith, architect, SFHEA, Course Leader, MArch Architecture, says:

"Students of the MArch Architecture course at Kingston School of Art are delighted to have been paired with Duravit, for the Blueprint for the Future event 2019. We consider architecture to be a continuum of cultural thinking and our studios marry exceptional students to leaders working in practice and the academy. As such our partnership with Duravit, a creative collaborator with the profession, is highly apt."

Since 1983, Blueprint has been committed to supporting new and emerging designers as well as established ones. The first-ever Blueprint for the Future event was launched in 2018, and the second edition, looks to be even bigger and better than last year.

Johnny Tucker, Blueprint editor, says of the initiative: "What better way of celebrating the world-beating quality of British architectural education than by bringing the cream of the crop together for this three day festival. Blueprint has always nurtured new talent and there is going to be some stunning work on display and the seminars will no doubt prove as lively as ever."
