BMA boosts membership

* BMA-in-compliance.jpgThe Bathroom Manufacturers Association has boosted membership with a new member and a returning member. Certification and approvals specialists In Compliance has joined the association and sanitary equipment specialist Wirquin rejoins the Association.

The German company In Compliance GmbH offers technical consultancy to worldwide certification and approval requirements for sanitary fittings and components.

Wirquin is a family run business that deals in sanitary equipment from renowned brands Celmac and Macdee. The product range includes toilet seats, flushing mechanisms, cisterns, connectors, frames, wet rooms and wastes.

"We are delighted to welcome In Compliance and Wirquin to the BMA," says BMA CEO Yvonne Orgill. "They are both leaders in their fields of operation and share the BMA values with regards to product compliance, water efficiency and sustainability.

"The BMA is committed to its aim of being 'The Voice of the Industry' and the ongoing growth and strength of the membership makes this possible. BMA members now sell well over £1 Billion of bathroom products at manufacturers sales value, which means over 80% of the market is represented by the BMA."

Thomas Jenkins from In compliance says: "The BMA is constantly pushing and supporting the industry to make positive changes to future proof product compliance and water efficiency in an ever changing landscape.

"As a team, In Compliance fully recognises and appreciates the work that the BMA are doing to ensure that compliance is at the top of every manufacturer's lists, whilst ensuring that water efficiency is not compromised. With quite obvious shared company values, we look forward to working with and supporting the BMA in all of their future endeavours to ensure that water continues to be the valuable and safe resource that it is today."
