Bushboard chosen for BBC's 'Your Home Made Perfect' again

Your Home Made Perfect is the first ever British virtual reality and visual effects property show. Presented by Angela Scanlon, the groundbreaking property and makeover series sees innovative architects, Laura Jane Clark and Robert Jamison, transform ordinary homes into extraordinary ones. The results are presented to the homeowners using virtual reality headsets, giving them a real life look at how the changes will work.

The show, broadcast in early October, featured homeowners Ruth and Lindsey, looking to make improvements to their existing home and kitchen. After seeing virtual presentations of how the two architects would change the home, the couple chose Laura's plan which featured Bushboard Evolve solid-core laminate worksurface in the Caldeira décor for the striking new kitchen surfaces and complementing coffee tables.

"The architect's design for the interior was crisp, clean and uncluttered - open shelving and the delightful handle-less design of the kitchen means it looks fresh but timeless," commented interior designer, Sian Astley, who is the build project manager for the show.

"The Caldeira décor of Bushboard Evolve brings warmth and modernity and it is so easy to work with."

Homeowner Ruth Thomas says of her and Lindsey's involvement: "The whole project was an amazing experience. When it came to the kitchen, we had not heard of Evolve, but we are delighted with the slim lines and striking colour of Evolve. The worktop is the hardest working part of the kitchen, so we wanted something that will endure."

Caroline Elliott, head of product for worktops at Wilsonart UK, the group to which Bushboard belongs, explains: "The Your Home Made Perfect scheme for Ruth and Lindsay's home is a lovely example of Evolve's versatility, especially with the integrated drainer grooves and undermount sink, which are so important for completing the seamless, modern look they've chosen. The bespoke coffee tables are such a creative use of the offcuts and a great transitional touch between the kitchen and living areas."
