Moores swaps Secret Santa for donations to local foodbank
For the second year running, the Special Projects team of the leading kitchen manufacturer Moores decided to skip the well-loved office tradition of exchanging Secret Santa gifts and instead, the money they would have spent was used to purchase essential food items for those less fortunate than themselves.
The donation was then delivered by the team to the Wetherby & District Foodbank, an organisation close to Moores' Wetherby headquarters.
"We received an overwhelmingly positive response to this initiative from all of the employees at Moores HQ," comments Emma Warrington, tenders and contracts manager at Moores who organised the donation.
"Each participant went above and beyond expectations and we were delighted to be able to give such a sizeable donation to a non-profit organisation doing fantastic work in the heart of our community."
Wetherby & District Foodbank is dedicated to ensuring that nobody in the community faces going hungry and provides nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people in crisis.
