Methven Kiri Satinjet ultra low flow shower wins Green Good Design Award
Methven - the global designer and manufacturer of premium showers and tapware - is celebrating yet another award win after its Kiri Satinjet Ultra Low Flow Shower won a 'green' medal in the 2011 Green Good Design Awards from The European Centre for Architecture Art Design & Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture & Design, the largest and oldest awards for contemporary design in the world.
The Kiri Satinjet ultra low flow shower became available in the UK and Europe earlier this year. Judges praised the shower for its sophisticated design, superior performance and impressive water and energy saving credentials.
Using just 5.7 litres of water a minute to deliver thousands of droplets per second with its Satinjet twin-jet technology, the Kiri Satinjet ultra low flow shower is a single function design with smooth bevelled edges that intersect with rectangular and circular forms, which give it the characteristic Kiri design signature. The sculptured look of Kiri Satinjet is crisp, sleek and highly modern and suited to domestic and commercial environments.
Judges were inspired by Kiri's ability to protect the environment, conserve resources and encourage sustainability by saving remarkable amounts of water and energy. They also appreciated the great life expectancy of the product with its lifetime parts guarantee.
