Bathroom furniture manufacturer Vanity Hall helps NHS Nightingale hospitals
Midlands-based specialist in Corian fabrication, Vanity Hall tells us it was honoured to help CDUK manufacture basins for the Nightingale hospitals.
Working with five key partners, CDUK was requested to design and supply 450 basin tops which were to be fitted onto mobile hand washing stations, specifically created for the London, Birmingham and Manchester hospitals.
The dedicated solid surface department, led by Vanity Hall operations director Will Hall, worked tirelessly around the clock to ensure that the basins were made in line with the tight schedule to ensure that the Nightingale hospitals could be completed on time.
"Corian has always been by far the most popular choice of bathroom worksurfaces we manufacture, not only due to the choice of finishes but because of its hygienic properties," explains Will Hall.
“It's completely impervious to water, so perfect in a bathroom environment. Its non-porous surface is highly resistant, making it an ideal surface in the healthcare sector too.
"The healthcare sector isn't an industry we usually supply to, but being able to assist the NHS in the fight against Coronavirus in this small way was an honour, and we were obviously only too happy to help."
