Verona relocates its distribution centre to Doncaster
Verona has relocated its distribution centre to Doncaster, creating a hub that will service the whole of the UK more efficiently. A renowned tile distributor that specialises in supplying market-leading ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles to national and independent customers from its head office in Leeds, Verona moved its distribution operation to a new state of the art warehouse facility in Thorne, to support the business in distributing stock to customers throughout the UK.
A key player within the UK tile industry, Verona has enjoyed a period of rapid growth over the last five years, winning numerous awards and accolades along the way, outgrowing its current warehouse space. At 106,000sq.ft, the new distribution centre offers fantastic facilities and working conditions for the team, whilst providing a long-term solution that offers room for further growth, and allows Verona to operate more efficiently and hold additional stock.
"As a business, we decided to relocate due to an increase in customer demand, and the need to meet future business requirements,” explains Philip George, operations manager at Verona.
“Our new distribution centre will allow us to improve on our excellent level of service, and cater for all areas of the UK in the best way possible."
The business began a phased transition to the new site over the last few months, with the distribution centre now fully operational. Verona's head office remains at Project House in Leeds.
Founded in 2001 as the Mosaic Tile Company, Verona offers a broad portfolio of products at competitive prices, backed up by excellent customer service and a range of professional marketing and merchandising support.
