China Xiamen International Kitchen & Bathroom Fair 2011 takes place next month

China Xiamen International Kitchen & Bathroom Fair will take place from November 5th to 8th, 2011 at Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Centre. It is being organised by the Xiamen Jinhongxin Exhibition Co along with the Fujian Association of Plumbing Sanitary & Valve Industry, the Kitchen Cabinet Chamber of Commerce of Fujian, the Xiamen Bath & Kitchen Association and the Kitchen Cabinet Chamber of Commerce of Xiamen.

The organisers have promised that great efforts will be made to fully explore the domestic market and encourage international trade, with a view to developing this event as an international specialist kitchen and bathroom fair. With 35,000m2 of exhibition area, 600 exhibitors and the China Xiamen International Win-Door & Wood Fair co-located with the event, more than 60,000 visitors are expected to visit.

As one of the BRIC countries with international focus, China has not only become the main producer of kitchen and bathroom products, but also a major market for these products. In the post-financial-crisis era, the world is shifting its focus to this promising far-east market.

"In the developed regions of eastern China, more than 80% new houses' kitchens have cupboards installed, although in the central and western regions, kitchen and bathroom decoration is not so popular," say the organisers. "But the tendency of expansion from the east to the west is apparent. Therefore, the domestic demand for kitchen and bathroom products offers tremendous market potential in the future. "On the other hand, due to the economic restructuring, kitchen and bathroom products, after hardware, furniture and household electrical appliances, have become another export of high growth. In recent years, annual growth rates were all above 30%. The export of faucets only was close to 5 billion dollars in the first three quarters of 2009. With the international economy recovering and demand increasing, the ensuing years will undoubtedly offer a golden opportunity for those wishing to export kitchen and bathroom products."
