Simon Bailey joins Lakes Bathrooms

Lakes Bathrooms has announced the appointment of Simon Bailey as area sales manager, taking responsibility for the South East region of the UK. Coming from Novellini and bringing over 20 years' experience in the bathroom industry, Simon is an asset to the company's growing sales team.

Simon joins Lakes Bathrooms to focus on an area that includes East Anglia, taking in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire. The region expands to cover Essex and spans upwards to encompass Bedfordshire - it is a newly defined territory for Lakes Bathrooms and Simon will be working closely with Andy Cole and Tom Williams who serve London and the South.

Simon's career started originally in the building industry, working in the merchant trade. He focused quickly on heating and plumbing, migrating naturally as the bathroom industry became defined and the market grew.

Prior to joining Lakes Bathrooms, Simon represented Novellini for eight years and has developed strong relationships in the bathroom trade. Simon says that his background in the merchants and contracting - both in nationals and independents - means that he has real world insight how to best support those retailing and installing bathroom products.

Commenting on his appointment, Simon enthused: "Lakes Bathrooms is a progressive company with a great reputation. I know that the Lakes approach is honest and straightforward and the impressive and consistent growth of the company is powerful evidence of success. I know that I will be well supported to do a great job; spending time with customers and focusing entirely on their needs."

According to Lakes Bathrooms, Simon's experience means that he will quickly be seen in the region. It's an area that he has covered for over seven years and so his task, the company says, is to capitalise on his existing contacts and relationships, whilst looking for new opportunities.

Simon reports to sales and marketing director at Lakes Bathrooms, Clive Organ, and joins a team of eight regional area sales managers that cover the entire UK.

Clive summarises the company's pleasure in welcoming Simon, saying: "We certainly understand what Simon can do and how he approaches his work. He's a well proven industry professional and his customer-focused approach fits entirely with our company ethos.

When not working in the industry, Simon spends much of his time walking his lively Dalmatian dog. His interests include photography and golf, plus Simon declares himself a big sports fan. His real passion, he confesses, is travel and he has backpacked around the world twice. In the past he has lived overseas, including a year in Australia when he worked in a bathroom showroom. Simon now lives in Chelmsford with his partner Wendy and they are excited to be expecting their first baby in December this year.
