Rayburn launches new electric model

* Rayburn-Electric.jpgRayburn has launched its first ever electric cooker, which combines highly efficient and controllable technology with classic, iconic looks. Featuring an electric fan oven, conventional oven, grill and a choice of induction or ceramic hobs, the Rayburn Electric offers exceptionally efficient cooking at a competitive price. Plus, with no requirement for a flue, the new appliance allows greater flexibility in kitchen design and layout.

The new model is available with a choice of the latest induction or ceramic hobs with square or dome hinged lids. By utilising two 2.3kW burners, the induction hobs have excellent response times, are highly efficient and cool extremely quickly. They also automatically adjust to any pan size and only heat the pan when it is placed on the burner.

Ceramic hobs use the latest infra-red technology to give rapid heating and cooling as well as enhanced controllability. For ease of use and cleaning, both styles have touch-sensitive controls and a single ceramic glass cooking surface.

The Rayburn Electric features two thermostatically controlled ovens that give a wide choice of cooking modes. The top oven - which has a capacity of 43 litres - offers efficient and controllable cooking and can be used as a grill, fan oven or fan grill. The bottom oven has two opposing elements and can be used for browning, or as a conventional oven with a generous 41.4 litre capacity.

Both ovens are enamelled and include robust wire cooking shelves, stainless steel runners and slam shut doors.

The new model also features the patented 'Warmfront' technology, which heats the outside of the cooker at the flick of a switch - providing the homely and comfortable feel of a traditional Rayburn whilst using minimal power. All models are available in a variety of colours including cream, black, dark blue, British racing green, pewter and aqua.

Measuring 910mm high x 980mm wide, the Rayburn Electric is the standard height for modern worktops and comfortably fits into kitchen alcoves. For installations that require finer adjustments or have uneven flooring, the cooker is supplied with a plinth to raise the height between 80mm and 100mm.

To underpin the high quality of manufacture, the Rayburn Electric is supplied with an enhanced warranty with three year parts and one year labour.

"The Rayburn Electric is a wonderful addition to the range and now makes it even easier for homeowners to have a Rayburn regardless of their fuel availability," says David Carpenter, Technical Director, AGA and Rayburn. "We've looked to the latest technology to make this model one of the finest electric range cookers available on the market, while maintaining the tradition, innovation and solid craftsmanship of the Rayburn name."
