KMT becomes exclusive distributor for Lakes Bathrooms
Shower enclosure specialist, Lakes Bathrooms, has announced the appointment of KMT Wholesale as the exclusive distributor for its products in Eire. KMT now stocks a complete range of Lakes Bathrooms' showers, including the new Coastline Collection, launched earlier this year.
KMT serves merchants and retailers supplying the bathroom and kitchen market in Eire, with Ian A Kernohan representing Lakes Bathrooms in Northern Ireland. From its south eastern headquarters in Thomastown, County Kilkenny, KMT delivers ex-stock to all 26 counties in the Republic of Ireland.
Lakes Bathrooms products will now be the only shower range stocked by KMT, as the deal sees the distributor ceasing a long relationship with an Italian manufacturer.
Explaining the decision to lead with Lakes Bathrooms, KMT's managing director, John Kent, says: "Price and quality are the key factors for KMT. We have built our reputation on offering the best quality products and service, but in this market we must also be competitive in terms of price.
"Having researched the entire market our view is that Lakes Bathrooms is the manufacturer that offers the best combination on price and quality; offering really unbeatable value for money with stylish products that are supremely well built."
Shower enclosures, shower trays, bath screens and accessories will now be offered from the Classic Collection, new 8mm Coastline Collection and the Safety and Comfort range from Lakes Bathrooms. A choice of shower trays will also be available from KMT, including low profile ABS and lightweight SMC trays. In total, the portfolio that the distributor will offer from Lakes Bathrooms numbers over 60 products, each in various sizes, providing a breadth of choice for the Irish market.
Commenting on the appointment of KMT, sales and marketing director of Lakes Bathrooms, Clive Organ, explains: "KMT has a great history and strong reputation, plus we have a healthy, proven relationship, having supplied the company with accessory products for many years. We are delighted that we now have the opportunity to greatly expand the product provision for KMT's customers and we are very optimistic that this will prove positive for merchants and retailers in Southern Ireland.
