Stylish enamelled floor level shower trays have become an integral part of modern, design-inspired bathrooms and the displays on Kaldewei's stand showed how far things have come in recent years, with the company presenting the perfect solution for wetrooms with its floor-level Conoflat shower tray and ESR II Installation Frame System for installing flush-with-the-floor shower trays.

The team explained that the award-winning Conoflat is available in 22 bathroom colours and 12 new matt shades to complement the latest flooring colour trends. The matt options range from gentle creams to lava black with earthy tones such as Maple Brown and City-Anthracite.

The modern design of the Conoflat, which to the eye appears completely flat, is a perfect fit with the current trend for floor-level, walk-in shower areas. The centrally positioned, eye-catching drain features a square waste cover which (in the same colour as the tray) sits completely flush - thus ensuring safety and comfort underfoot. Further safety is guaranteed by the option of anti-slip finish which is functional, attractive and easy to clean.

Conoflat is available in a total of 29 sizes ranging from 75 x 90 to a generous 90 x 170 cm.

Also attracting interest at the show was the company's ESR II Installation Frame System for low level shower trays, which incorporates an anti-leak drainage system. It provides all the components to facilitate safe and speedy installation of flush-with-the-floor shower trays onto timber joists or screeded floors.

The sturdy aluminium frame with horizontally and vertically adjustable feet, which are also sound insulated, incorporates a channel that gently slopes down to a special siphon that drains off any water seepage. This provides a wetroom look but with complete peace of mind as there is no danger of leaks even if the joints or seals are damaged over time - a common concern with upstairs wetroom spaces.
