Apex Interior Systems

Despite having been manufacturing bespoke vinyl wrapped kitchen and bedroom doors, drawers, panelling and accessories for the past 17 years from its premises in Burscough, Lancashire, specialist supplier to independent installers, retailers and manufacturers, Apex Interior Systems, was exhibiting at KBB Birmingham for the first time!

We spoke to Andrew Ashworth on the final day and he told us: "We absolutely happy that we decided to take part. It's been fantastic!"

He explained that to make the most of its participation, the company had launched new door designs and finishes plus an outstanding collection of door handles to complement its portfolio of doors.

John and I loved the new door designs and finishes on show and there was so much to choose from; there are now 50 doors across the Apex range with 50 exciting and colourful finishes available - enough to make each kitchen and bedroom design into completely individual rooms.

One of the new doors for 2012 is Cambridge, a classic Shaker style, but with the twist of a chamfered edge from the rails to the centre panel. The Cambridge design finished in the muted tones of Dakar, reflects the trend towards eggshell paint effect finishes.

The tall larder style doors, slimline wall units and appliance housings in the Premier design, using the textured and horizontally grained new Oak Melinga and White Avola finishes make for a very interesting and design-inspired kitchen.

Astra is a range of pvc edged mfc doors. The Coco Bolo door is one of 10 new finishes launched at KBB, taking the total number of colours and finishes in the Astra range to 25, all of which are available with a variety of different edge colours to complement and contrast.

Wardrobes and furniture for bedrooms look great in Misano. Mirrored wardrobes and tall drawer chests manufactured in Saw Cut White, a delicately textured foil, finished in bright white gives for a light and reflective room. Teamed up with new saw cut oak effect, Pewter Oak gives a dramatic overall look.

Verve, is another completely new range. Acrylic kitchen and bedroom doors, made-to-measure and made-to-order, are available in six great colours with duo tone edging.

Another first for Apex is a brand new collection of 60 handle designs in a myriad of sizes, ranging from glitzy bright chrome models for a 5-star bedroom look, through to arts and crafts design functionality and chunky kitchen options, perfectly suited to today's tastes and trends.
