New Formica Unilin collection from IDS offers outstanding design flexibility

IDS has strengthened its panel products offer for the trade with an exclusive distribution agreement for the Formica-Unilin collection, a comprehensive range of melamine, laminate and edging tape which offers a raft of design and cost engineering benefits for kitchen, bedroom and office furniture manufacturing, specialist joinery and retail shopfitting sectors.

The range offers fantastic product flexibility with a huge range of thicknesses including 8, 10, 12, 16, 18, 19, 22, 25 and 28mm in a choice of substrates, furniture, moisture resistant , while fire retardant grades are available in both chipboard and mdf.

18mm MFC, the industry's preferred size, is held in stock in all 80 decors, while any other product can be ordered in any of the permutations on offer with a minimum order quantity of just two sheets and an assured lead time of four weeks.

"This range is totally in step with the way the industry works now, fast and flexible availability with the benefits of cost engineering and maximum order efficiency," says says Andy Ransom, Purchasing Manager Panel Products. "The range extensively covers all the design bases with the option to specify matching MFC to Formica high pressure laminates too."

There is a choice of 80 designs with ample scope to satisfy traditional and contemporary design requirements. There are 43 woodgrains, 34 plain colours and three metallics. Edging tape is available in 0.35mm melamine, 1m ABS and 2mm ABS colour-matched to all 80 designs for a professional finishing touch.
