Amica launches 8kg machine in new washing range

Amica-8kg-washing-machine.jpgEuropean appliances brand Amica has launched a brand new range of washing machines to the UK and Ireland. Amica's 2012-product line-up now offers a choice of eight washing machines, each A+ rated for energy efficiency with a raft of highly saleable features and load capacities from 5kg to 8kg to suit any household.

The flagship Navigator Plus models, available with 6kg, 7kg and now 8kg capacities, come in traditional white with a blue LCD control panel and display, which clearly indicates the current wash programme, any options selected and the progress of each wash cycle with the time remaining.

Amica's AWN814D is the cream of its fine Navigator Plus crop. With its 8kg load capacity, householders have the convenience of washing larger loads
less often, which equates to significant savings in the amount of money spent on detergent and time spent as well as energy and water used for cheaper bills. In addition, other items like duvets, pet bedding and sleeping bags may be washed at home, amounting to further savings in time and money.

The AWN814D provides a selection of 15 main programmes including a speedy 15 minute 30 degree Quick Wash and an Everyday Wash as well as
cycles specifically designed for shirts, sports clothing and hand washing. The Auto Sensor determines the optimal use of water and energy for each specific load, and the machine also offers the user the ability to manually modify each of the programmes for a bespoke personally tailored setting with a variable temperature from cold to 95 degrees C and an adjustable spin speed from 0 to 1400 rpm, leaving just 53% moisture content in the washing for a quicker drying time.

For added convenience and safety, the AWN814D also provides Start Delay, Easy Iron, Pause and a Child Lock. The estimated annual energy
consumption of the AWN814D for a four-person household is 250kWh and the water consumption just 52 litres per full 60 degrees C cotton load.

The entry-level models, available with a choice of 5kg, 6kg and large 8kg capacities, also provide a host of features for the modern household. The
range offers 23 programmes including a 30 minute 30 degrees Quick Wash, a Hand Wash and a Curtain Wash along with functions such as Easy Iron, Pre-Wash and No Spin as well as LED indicator lights and an Auto Sensor determining the optimal use of water and energy for each particular load.

Simon Freear, country manager for Amica in the UK and Ireland, says: "This new range of washing machines contains a model that ideally suits every
household at a competitive price point for consumers with excellent after sales care and a decent profit margin for retailers."

All Amica products come with superb aftersales support and a full two-year guarantee for parts and labour providing consumers' superior service levels
and independent electrical retailers a competitive advantage over large chains. And in conjunction with The Wastepack Group and Electrolink, Amica offers its retailers and distributors a completely free of charge collection and disposal service for all electrical products and associated packaging for
recycling - saving them time, money and hassle along with the opportunity to offer the service to their own customers, adding even more value.
