Final in Kiev: finalists shower with Hansgrohe

* Hansgrohe_Euros_Arena.jpgHansgrohe will be providing the freshness kick in the showers and washrooms of the Olympic Stadium in Kiev, where the Euro 2012 final takes place on Sunday. In the extensively renovated arenas - according to plans by the firm gmp Architekten - the finalists will enjoy products from the mixer and shower specialist from the Black Forest. In addition, Hansgrohe also fitted out three other major stadiums in Poland and Ukraine.

"This is entirely in keeping with the Hansgrohe line: sports and a refreshing shower experience, top performances and a relaxing shower - all these elements simply belong together," says Richard Grohe, Deputy Chairman of Hansgrohe SE.

The company with an international reach and headquartered in the Black Forest had already equipped four football stadiums for the 2010 Football World Cup in South Africa.

Nearly all national teams and their fans have encountered Hansgrohe.

The breathtaking NSK Olimpiysky sports arena (the national Olympic stadium) in the centre of the capital of Ukraine, which can accommodate 70,000 spectators, was extensively renovated in preparation for the current event. It is one of the biggest sports stadiums in the world.

In the effort to modernise the stadium, the emphasis was not only on design, but also on state-of-the-art technical equipment. When it came to mixers and showerheads, the construction organisers opted for Hansgrohe. Accordingly, Talis E2 flush-mount mixers and Raindance AIR overhead showers were installed in the teams' locker rooms. The washrooms in the VIP zone feature the minimalist-modern design of the Axor Uno2 wash basin mixer, whilst Axor Uno2 kitchen mixers with their characteristic generous arc are a highlight of the gastronomy areas. Setting the scene in the washrooms for the public are the Hansgrohe Talis E2 wash basin mixers.

Beyond the capital of Kiev, Hansgrohe and its products are also represented in two more stadiums in Ukraine: in the Donbass Arena in Donezk, and in the stadium in Lviv (Lemberg).

Talis E2 wash basin mixers and electronic mixers from the Talis and Metris S lines have been installed in these state-of-the-art sports venues. They are particularly suited for public venues because they are safe and hygienic in their operation, as well as being durable and easy to maintain. The high quality of these mixers ensures that they have a long life cycle even in high-traffic areas. The optical sensor triggers the flow of water as required, thus optimising consumption for hand-washing - temperature and flow rate are preset, allowing the mixers to save water as well as respond quickly - at least as quickly as the players on the field.

Hansgrohe was part of the game from the moment the Championship kicked off. This is because at the National Stadium in Warsaw, where the sports spectacle was launched in front of 55,000 spectators with the encounter between Poland and Greece, players and VIP guests were already able to enjoy products 'Made by Hansgrohe'.

Two of the four semi-finalists will also meet up with Hansgrohe in the football arena in Warsaw after their game.

"The winner of the tournament will then be able to celebrate their title in the Kiev Stadium under our Raindance overhead showers," says Richard Grohe, "which will be just as refreshing and tingling a sensation as the champagne that is bound to flow on that occasion!"
