British Ceramic Tile ride to success for Cancer Research UK
A group of intrepid cyclists from British Ceramic Tile endured harrowing hill climbs and sore limbs all in the name of charity, raising over £1000 for Cancer Research UK.
The six employees from British Ceramic Tile's commercial team rode to success in the 'Moor 2 Sea' cycling event earlier this month. The challenging 67 mile course, which began at Exeter Racecourse, led the group through the rough terrains of Dartmoor before finishing with a huge mountain climb through the scenic village of Mamhead in South Devon.
One of the keen cyclists involved, David Orrey, New Business Development Team Leader, says: "Cancer affects everyone in some form which is why colleagues from across the business chose Cancer Research UK as our charity of the year. Everyone put in a fantastic effort, committing time to train outside of work as well as race on the day, raising over £1000 for a very worthwhile cause."
The Devon-based tile manufacturer, which chose Cancer Research UK as its nominated charity earlier this year, supported the team and committed funds to help the cyclists reach their £1000 target.
