Gorenje partners with London charity RADICLE

* BillShoaban.jpgSlovenian appliance manufacturer Gorenje, has partnered with London-based charity RADICLE (Residential And Drop-In Centres London Enterprises). RADICLE provides emotional and practical support services for isolated and vulnerable people in the local area, including three residential schemes for homeless young mothers and their babies, two drop-in centres used by over 700 older people, and a nursery visited by more than 50 local families.

These residences all aim to empower users and visitors for independent living and responsible citizenship through direct support services, prevention work, education, affirmation and peer support.

Gorenje has entered into an on-going partnership with RADICLE, offering support and pledging to provide appliances as required for all of the charity's residences, including the Whitechapel Family Centre for young mothers.

Bill Miller, Gorenje's Sales & Marketing Director, says: "Gorenje is pleased to have partnered with RADICLE. We have been looking for some time to work with a London-based charity that provides practical support to a wide range of people, and RADICLE fits the bill perfectly. It carries out incredibly important work, vital to those who need the support, and we are delighted to be able to help in any way that we can."

Shoaban Nair, RADICLE's Fundraising Manager, adds: "We are so pleased about our partnership with such a quality manufacturer as Gorenje. The appliances at our residences are key to those who use them, and undergo a tremendous amount of pressure, so it is crucial for them to be long-lasting and durable. These new Gorenje products will be a tremendous help to our services."
