Confident specifying for natural stone tiling

* BAL-tiling-for-stone.jpgThe BAL CPD Seminar, 'Specifying For Natural Stone', allows architects complete confidence when specifying for any natural stone tiling project. It is fully accredited for CPD by RIBA.

The 45-minute seminar covers: various types of stone and their characteristics; causes of problems associated with natural stone; avoidance of common installation problems and the impact of backgrounds and substrates on adhesive and grout specification. It shows the importance of optimum product specification and gives guidance on best practice, helping architects to specify natural stone tiling with confidence.

'Specifying For Natural Stone' is the fourth BAL CPD module created for architects and specifiers. It joins modules on problem solving with tiling solutions and on specifying tiling works in leisure facilities and in heavily trafficked areas. All four seminars are approved by RIBA, which requires chartered members to complete at least 35 hours of accredited CPD each year, split between a core curriculum and other relevant subjects.

BAL is renowned for the outstanding qualityof its tile adhesives and grouts and the technical support it offers. Its tiler training is acknowledged as setting industry standards and the company continues to invest in maintaining unparalleled support services. Every product bearing the BAL name is manufactured in Britain and is covered by a full 25-year guarantee.
