BlancoSelect: a new generation of kitchen waste separation management

Recycling collection schemes are now in place across most of the UK, placing extra demands on the house-owner to find additional storage space for each different type of waste. It makes sense to locate the waste system directly under the sink where items such as fruit and vegetable waste are disposed of on a daily basis, saving the customer both time and effort with recycling.

In response to these increased demands, Blanco is launching a new generation of its popular BlancoSelect waste separation system. It can be installed as part of a new kitchen or retrospectively into an existing base unit.

The new BlancoSelect range provides even greater functional features to improve the ease of recycling, with particular consideration given to ease of cleaning and maintenance.

Combining metal and high-quality plastic construction, BlancoSelect is available to fit 45, 50 and 60cm base units. The system offers a choice of two or three multi-purpose containers which can be repositioned depending on the location of the outlet, and there are two options. Option 1, Select 2 or Select 3, comes with a strong metal-coated cover, which doubles as a handy storage shelf; Option 2, Select 2 Orga and Select 3 Orga, has a full drawer which doubles as a cover and can be used to store various household items.

All the containers are fitted with a retractable handle; they can be used individually, are easy to pull-out for emptying and cleaning, are dishwasher safe and the durable rail system guarantees light-running and quiet operation.

Much attention has also been given to delivering optimum space utilisation, with narrow frame parts and separate waste containers, offering exceptionally large bucket volume, up to a generous 49 litres. The handles integrate perfectly into the rim of the bucket, which in turn fits flush with the frame.

Available as an optional extra, the innovative BlancoSelect Modex foot-operated mechanism opens the unit, using a stylish stainless steel cladding fitted to the front of the cabinet.
