New Sinos sink range from Franke is ahead of the curve

* Franke-Sinos-SNX251-sinkF.jpgPositioned at the top-end of Franke's extensive sink offer, the new Sinos sink range marks a departure from linear styling and responds strongly to the design trend for softer, flowing lines.

Curves are a key design feature in kitchen furniture, from traditional to contemporary, but Sinos has the versatility to work in any kitchen style with its organic, easy living design, whilst offering impeccable quality. The range was launched at the beginning of April, together with several new sink, tap and cooker hood products as a major range update for 2013.

Sinos features elegantly curved corners on the sink footprint as well as the bowl and drainer detailing, creating shapes that are reminiscent of retro style classics, while echoing the contemporary desire for pure design.

Sinos is manufactured from premium grade stainless steel in Silk finish and has three models. There are two 1.5 bowl options, fitting a 600mm cabinet, with the flexibility to have the half bowl to the left or the right of the main bowl. This is a functional benefit depending on whether you are left or right handed. There is also a compact single bowl option fitting into a 400mm cabinet, ideal for when space is at a premium.

A clever design feature offered by the Sinos is that the smooth drainer board is angled not only towards the bowl but also backwards, allowing water to flow effortlessly away.

The sink accessories include a sanitised-treated chopping board giving a high performance and hygienic surface for food preparation and a stainless steel strainer bowl. The patented Franke Rollamat is compatible with this sink design and is available at extra cost.

Says Steve Rutter, marketing manager:

"Sinos is an example of how the trend towards softer minimalism is influencing sink design now. It's a contemporary classic, a sink style that's very easy to live with, paying homage to current design trends but one that will not easily date either. It gives retailers a new design story to engage customers with."
