Geberit reaches new heights in the loo with the best view over London!

* Geberit-Shard-loo.jpgVisitors caught short 750ft above London as they take in the views from the top of The Shard, the Capital's newest tourist attraction, will enjoy quality scenery inside and out when they visit the washrooms, as they feature Geberit's Sigma50 flush plate.

Designed by Master Architect Renzo Piano, the triangular-shaped Shard is a 1,016ft high skyscraper which redefines London's skyline, with 600,000 sq ft of offices, three floors of restaurants and a hotel. Those wishing to experience an unrivalled view of London can do so from The View visitor centre towards the top of the building, which opened earlier this month and is destined to become one of the capital's most sought-after visitor attractions.

Boasting spectacular views from the 68th floor of the £2billion development, the washrooms in the public area of West Europe's tallest building are luxuriously fitted, with Geberit's Duofix framing system providing a secure fit for the wall-hung WC and Geberit's Sigma50 dual flush plate providing the perfect finishing touch.

The flush plate, finished in high quality stainless steel, is the only visible fixture aside from the wall-hung sanitaryware itself, and its stylish, minimal design fits seamlessly into the space without compromising on the 40-mile views of London from the full-length window that sits alongside the WC.
As well as being easy on the eye, Geberit's Sigma50 flush plate was chosen by The Shard's designers just as much for the environmental benefits it offers. With a dual flush mechanism the WCs within this iconic building offer superior hygiene performance which operating on six litres or three litres of water, helping architects meet the requirements for sustainable design.

"That our framing system and flush plate were chosen as just a small part of such an iconic building is simply delightful!" enthuses Geberit's Senior Product Manager Simon Spridgeon. "The Duofix frame offers a fast, reliable installation for wall-hung sanitaryware, whilst chosen for its sheer simplicity and high quality finish, Sigma50 blends seamlessly into the overall design of the washrooms, offering an understated but nonetheless all apparent level of luxury to what will surely become one of the most iconic toilets in the capital."
