Pebel Fragranite sink from Franke wins the Red Dot Design Award

The Pebel sink range in Fragranite, launched by Franke in 2012, has scooped a Red Dot Design Award in the latest batch of winners recently announced.

Red Dot is a coveted international design award, awarded to products recognised for their combination of stand-out design, functionality, quality and innovation.

"With our Pebel design, we read the emerging trend for curves in the kitchen correctly and it was the fore-runner for the curved sinks styles that are coming more and more now on to the market," says Steve Rutter, marketing manager for Franke.

"We are delighted to have our innovative thinking recognised on the international stage in this way because design is easy to copy, whereas it is not so easy to genuinely innovate."

The Pebel range centres on a free flowing, curved style and an undulating feature drainer. It draws form and function together in a sink with a distinctly modern vibe and features a sanitised, anti-bacterial finish.

Pebel was originally launched in Fragranite in three colours of polar white, coffee and onyx and has just been extended to offer ceramic options in black and white. Both single and 1.5 bowls are available with optional accessories including a stainless steel strainer bowl, glass chopping board and a drainer basket.
