Abode conforms to CE marking legislation

* Abode-Apex-sink-Specto-tap.jpgAbode has announced that, in accordance with the new CE Marking legislation which came into effect in July this year, all sinks manufactured by Abode conform to the legislative changes that came into mandatory effect. Since kitchen sinks are covered by the Harmonised European Norm EN13310:2003, they will now form part of the Construction Products Regulations (CPR).

All Abode branded sinks are compliant to the CE marking which is required for many products and attests the verification by a manufacturer that these products meet EU safety, health or environment protection. Specifications and quality of all Abode kitchen sink ranges remains unchanged since the mandatory CE introduction and all new stock now features the new detailed label.

The new CE marking labels will be displayed on all sinks, packaging and fitting instructions, prior to despatch to customers.

Helen Clark, Marketing Manager, Abode comments: "Abode is a responsible manufacturer of quality kitchen sinks and we are pleased that at last, there is a new law to protect the 'good guys' who make and sell only the best. Builders, installers and the general public can rest assured they are purchasing a sink from a responsible manufacturer."

"Our sinks range across a number of materials, including stainless steel, composite and ceramic."
