KBBG applauds 'Small Business Saturday' initiative

The Kitchen Bathroom Buying Group, a subsidiary of the kitchen & bathroom buying group in Europe, DER KREIS, supports the UK's first 'Small Business Saturday' that takes place on 7th December 2013.

Small Business Saturday is an initiative to celebrate all small businesses, including independent retailers, and to encourage the support of the local community. The idea began three years ago in the US, and according to the National Federation of Independent Businesses in America, has become the most important shopping day of the year for over a third of its members.

Bill Miller, Managing Director explains: "The KBBG is founded on the entrepreneurial spirit of the independent retailer, and we wholeheartedly support them. The independent retailer is a valuable provider to the local community and they deserve support and recognition. It is the independent that delivers consumer choice, first class knowledge and backed by superb customer service.

"We hope that local support will be encouraged in every community for the many thousands of local businesses. This is a great day for independent retailers to raise their profile individually too."
