George Osborne pays a visit to Triton, the Great British shower company
On 16th January the Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne visited Triton - The Great British shower company in Nuneaton.
The Chancellor visited the site on a trip to the West Midlands to promote manufacturing and innovation as drivers of economic growth and a rebalanced economy, issues which are a key focus of the Government's long term economic plan.
"It was really great to have time to talk to the Chancellor, who came with Triton's local MP, Marcus Jones, on a one to one basis and then show him around our manufacturing facility," says Lorna Fellowes, Managing Director of Triton.
"George Osborne chatted to many of the employees in manufacturing and even sat on the production line and produced a component, which impressed everyone!
"After the factory tour we went to Triton's restaurant where we spent time with 20 employees from across the business in a Q&A session, and the Chancellor heard our ideas and concerns. It was a very helpful session covering everything from what the Government is doing to promote enterprise to support for working mothers."
Before George Osborne left, he congratulated Triton on being a great business. "It was really nice to be complimented by the Chancellor and exciting for all employees to a have such a high profile visitor," concludes Lorna.
