I know I’m always banging on about being caught out by dodgy trades people so it’s only fair that I share my good experiences too…  Water had made its way into the workings of the Triton shower in the flat that I let, causing the shower to make a loud popping noise and the thermostat to stop functioning.

This time, instead of contacting friends of friends or trades people my friends and colleagues have used just once (when they may simply have been lucky!), I visited websites such as Trustmark and CheckaTrade to do some research first.

Scoring well on the websites, TMB Electrics scored well with me too. My CheckaTrade feedback says it all:

“I was confident that this company would perform well right from my first dealings with Phil and Trevor and I wasn't disappointed. They advised me on how to choose a replacement so that it fitted as closely as possible, the template left by the broken shower and so that it wasn't too powerful for the existing electrics. This reduced the time they needed to spend on the job and kept my costs down. They explained why the old one had blown (water ingress) and put extra sealant around the new one to prevent a recurrence. And they worked in socks to protect my carpets! I'll definitely use them again. “

But it’s never just about the fitters, is it? Amy on the Triton switchboard and Mandy, who talked me through my options, made recommendations and ultimately took my payment, were friendly, professional and knowledgeable.  Mandy even found me a deal which was part of that month’s special promotions.

I must add that none of those I dealt with knew that I’m an editor in the KBB sector, so I’m confident that the excellent service I received is the standard service both organisations offer. Another happy customer? You bet!
