Gruelling three-day charity challenge beats target

T* Wilson-Art-cheque.jpghe North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust Charitable Fund to support a vital breast care unit, has received a whopping £8700 from laminate and solid surface worktop manufacturer, Wilsonart, following three-day cycle challenge.

During June, 14 members of staff, including managing director Tim Pearson and event organiser Robin Myers, took part in a gruelling 300 miles-in-3-days charity cycle ride from London to Paris.

Wilsonart, based in County Durham, organised the fundraising charity challenge in the hope of raising £7,000 towards the breast care unit at North Tees & Hartlepool Hospital. Robin Myers (holding the famed shirt in our image) explains: "Thank you so much to everyone who donated - the team worked really hard over the three days and we are so thrilled to have smashed our original target to raise nearly £9,000."

Founded in 1956 in Texas and established in the UK since 1998, Wilsonart International is now one of the world's largest worksurface manufacturers with plants in North America, Europe and Asia.
