iKBBI expert panel strengthened

* Ian-Hayes.jpgAs a non-profit making organisation, the Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installers relies heavily on support from the industry and those individuals who operate within it. Working with a cross section of the sector, including installers, retailers, supplier / distributors, manufacturers and the press, the iKBBI has built a vast network of contacts since its inception almost eight years ago.

To support the strategic development of the institute and occasionally the operational delivery of its objectives, the iKBBI calls upon a very special group of industry experts who donate their time and expertise, to the institute, on a completely voluntary basis.

The iKBBI is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members of the panel this month, both of whom bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in their respective specialist fields.

Iain Hayes (pictured) represents the waste disposal industry on the panel, he joined iKBBI sponsor Hippo as operations manager in 2010 to manage Hippo's national fleet of over 50 vehicles. Hippo collects hundreds of HippoBags every day - of which 40% of all collections are from the KBB sector.

Iain is NEBOSH qualified and has a vast amount of experience in the waste sector and is well placed to advise iKBBI members on all waste and logistics requirements.

Iain comments on being invited onto the iKBBI Consultation Panel: "Hippo has a long history of working within the KBB sector and I am very proud to be supporting the iKBBI where I can add expertise on waste and logistics."

Michael Barratt also joins the panel and represents the specialist insurance sector. Working with iKBBI sponsor UK Special Risks (UKSR) and supporting many of the iKBBI's members already, Mike has a very good understanding of the KBB sector and its unique insurance needs.

UK Special Risks offers a wide range of insurance services to the industry, from public and employers liability, through to professional indemnity, retail and tool cover. Says Michael: "I'm am very pleased to be supporting the iKBBI, as is the business I represent. We have been supporters for many years now and I'm confident we can raise support via my new role."
