Leisure Sinks meets the university challenge

* Leisure-Sinks.jpgFifteen Linear LR1160DB stainless steel double bowl sinks from Leisure Sinks have been installed as part of a refurbishment of the Moor Lane Halls development, Preston. The 99-bedroom apartment block has 15 communal kitchens, each shared by up to seven students.

Owned by student accommodation provider Sanctuary Students, Moor Lane Halls is located opposite the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) campus, a short distance from Preston City Centre.

The sinks were installed in September 2014 by Dundee-based kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furniture manufacturer Joinery and Timber Creations (65), as part of a contract for Sanctuary Housing Association.
Ian Murphy, Senior Buyer at Joinery and Timber Creations (65), specified the sinks. Commenting on the project, he said:

"Leisure Sinks is the preferred supplier for all our contract sinks, as the company provides great service, as well as economical, yet high quality products. The Linear sinks were chosen for these student apartments because of their size and durability; two bowls and a large drainer is the ideal configuration when there are multiple users per sink, while the stainless steel construction should see the products easily withstand the daily demands of student life."

The Linear LR1160DB measures 1,160mm x 508mm overall, and boasts two bowls which are each 380 x 355 x 165mm in size. Manufactured from 0.9 gauge stainless steel, this sink has a polished finish, fits a 800mm cabinet, while it also features a 35mm tap hole and reversible drainer.
