Striking new thermostatic showering from Burlington
This month has seen leading traditional sanitaryware brand Burlington further extend its reach in to the showering market. A brand new range of thermostatically-controlled, 10 year guaranteed TMV2 showers is now available from the classically styled brand to further increase the portfolio of products.
Aptly named after famous British rivers the Trent, Spey, Tay, Eden, Stour, Severn and Avon; the new Burlington Traditional Showers combine period styling with modern know-how that comes complete with TMV2 approved valves for added safety, an 11mm bore on hoses (the standard is 8mm), internal filters to remove impurities and a non-return valve.
A non-return valve allows the water to flow but closes automatically to prevent backflow - this is important as it can diminish heating efficiency, prevent possible siphonage of contaminated water back into the water supply, prevent water hammer and protects the shower cartridge and thermostat from the reverse flow of water. All showers have 18mm pipework to deliver a good flow rate. The Stour range is also available with 28mm pipework for an extra soak.
Burlington once again brings to the market something that not only looks beautiful but it works beautifully too. Faye Rainey, brand manager comments: "By redesigning the brassware collection from Burlington we have created a more sought-after showering range to sit alongside the rest of the products in the portfolio.
"The collection is strong with some audacious and striking designs for consumers looking for that noticeable piece to take their bathroom from nice to exceptional. The collection has everything any retailer, installer or consumer needs to create an authentic and reliable traditional shower with modern high performance."
Finished in chrome, the range includes concealed and exposed valves, a choice of fixed and hand held heads, bath/shower mixers and some striking chrome heads.
