Affordable luxury and minimalism lead the way for 2011 kitchen trends

2011 will see a surge in minimalist and luxury kitchen styles, according to solid surface distributor Staron UK.

The company, which is the sole distributor for Samsung-branded solid surfaces, predicts that the two contrasting trends are set to soar in popularity throughout next year.

Staron's own high-end range of solid surfaces, Tempest, has seen a rise in sales for its gold leaf and meteor colourways along with a wide range of colour matched sinks, which create a unique worktop experience.

Gold leaf is a high quality, three-dimensional surface with luxurious gold flecks, reflecting consumer trends for offsetting the gloomy economic climate by introducing a touch of affordable opulence to the home.

Meanwhile, meteor is a white surface which complements contemporary, minimalist-style kitchens.

"Our Tempest range offers a choice of natural colour solid surfaces with the look of granite- they are also warmer to the touch, non-porous, repairable and super hygienic."
