The fabulous forties - two employees celebrate 40 years' service at Burbidge
This month sees not one but two Burbidge employees celebrate 40 years' service at the UK's equally celebrated kitchen manufacturer. Neil Clarke, factory manager and, Jill Harrison, a factory worker, both joined the burgeoning Burbidge business back in 1965 at the tender ages of 16 and 26 just ahead of the 70's retro boom.
Four decades later, and the two dedicated workers remain as passionate about the Burbidge brand as ever and show no signs of putting up the factory togs anytime soon.
"I've always loved my job at Burbidge," says Jill. "The business has a real family feel to it and I've made some fantastic friendships with colleagues over the years."
Neil adds: "I'm very proud of what we have achieved at Burbidge over the last 40 years. From the retro 70's to the bold 80's, we have continued to evolve and grow in line with new trends and a changing customer. I look forward to seeing what the next decade has to offer as we continue to expand."
