Spooky PJH fundraising aims to make a difference

* PJH_Halloween_sml.jpgGhostly goings on at PJH Group this Halloween formed another one of the bathroom and kitchen distributor's fundraising events for its 2010/2011 regional charity of the year, Royal Manchester Children's Hospital Charity.

The charity, as voted for by regional staff at PJH's head office and depots in Bolton and Manchester, was chosen due to the vital support work it provides at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. Fundraising money ensures continued excellence in treatment, care and research at the hospital, improving the lives of thousands of children each year.

Aiming to raise £5,000 over the coming months, staff from the north west division of PJH Group have already organised and got involved with cake bake-off's; an abseil; the Great Manchester 10k run; bring and buy sales; and now, spooky fancy dress!

Marketing executive, Cindy Allcroft, one of the PJH charity coordinators, explains: "We chose Royal Manchester Children's Hospital Charity due to the huge difference it makes in helping families during what can be a very difficult time for them.

"Charitable support is essential in helping the hospital to fund projects - such as creating a more child-friendly environment; providing state-of-the-art equipment to improve diagnosis and treatment; and supporting research into children's illnesses."

Next on the agenda is a Christmas Toy Appeal and PJH staff will be visiting some of the young patients at the hospital in the coming weeks - with perhaps a special appearance from Santa and some of his helpers!

Joining other corporate charity partners such as Manchester City Football Club and The Trafford Centre, PJH Group is delighted to be supporting such an important charity as Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
