Recognition in a rugby shirt
If you know Yvonne Orgill, boss of the Bathroom Manufacturers Association, you will know what she likes. Her Welsh upbringing may have something to do with it. She likes rugby. A lot.
She is a lifelong follower of the sport and needless to say she supports what she regards as her own National Team, Welsh Rugby Union.
Imagine her surprise, then, when at a recent conference planning meeting with David Osborne, chairman of the BMA's marketing committee, and managing director of Roman, she was presented with a WRU Team shirt, signed by each current squad member.
David, together with his father Gerry Osborne, former president of the BMA, presented Yvonne with the shirt in recognition of her 30 years' service to the bathroom industry at the BMA.
"I was utterly surprised!" says Yvonne. "It was totally unexpected and what a fabulous gift. Just up my street!
"I've said before that the 30 years at the BMA have been packed with blood, sweat and a few tears, but I have loved every minute. I must thank David and Gerry for their very personal and welcome gift."
Roman has been a member of the BMA since 1993 and has always been a huge supporter of the Association. The company's managing director David Osborne was president of the BMA from 2014 to 2016 and is chairman of the Centre of Excellence, while Gerry Osborne was also president from 2001 to 2003.
David explains the thinking behind the gift: "We have greatly valued Yvonne's support throughout the years and we wanted to show our appreciation by presenting her with a signed rugby shirt by her beloved Welsh Rugby Team."
