A Year of Madness at Wirquin

Family run sanitary equipment specifier, Wirquin, is celebrating 40 years in business this year and has pledged to have a year of madness which it is sharing across its new social media platforms.

The special Facebook page called 'Crazy 40 years', promoting lots of crazy stories and activities in which Wirquin customers and staff are taking part, can be followed and contributed at facebook.com/wirquin40years/. Other new platforms for Wirquin include Twitter and Linked In, so whether it's new products, career vacancies, new installation videos or problem solving tips the company is sharing it all on social media.

Based in Doncaster in the UK, Wirquin's new UK marketing communications manager, Alaina Turner, has set up the UK corporate company Twitter, Facebook and Linked In profiles and has already started posting regular updates.

"Our following is already starting to grow and we've had some great feedback," she says. "We are asking all of our customers, who regularly use Twitter, Facebook and Linked In platforms, to follow us.

"It's a great way of keeping in close contact and we'll be running some great promotions and competitions too during the year so we don't want them to miss out!"

Wirquin has a year of celebrations ahead. The Wirquin business is 40 this year, the company's UK brand Mcdee has also hit 40 and Celmac is now over 125 years old... So as an established industry manufacturer that continues to bring out groundbreaking innovations, Wirquin has a lot to go crazy about!
