Double promotion celebrated at HiB
HiB has announced the promotion of two of its longest serving employees to directors. Brothers Neil and Richard Berry have taken on the positions of operations director and logistics director respectively.
Having each worked at the company for almost 20 years, Neil (left) and Richard (right) are the latest example of HiB's investment in staff progression and development.
"When I first started at HiB, there were just three people working in the warehouse and I was responsible for picking and packing orders, unloading deliveries and other general duties," says Neil, who joined as a warehouse operative, aged 16.
"The company has grown enormously since then - we now have a team of 60 in the warehouse, and pack around 11,000 orders a month, compared with 500 in 1997. Prior to my recent promotion, I was working as warehouse manager, and with my move to operations director, I am now responsible for the smooth running of the distribution centre - it's been an incredible journey!"
Richard, who also joined as a warehouse operative, adsd: "I'm approaching my 20th anniversary at HiB - and what a journey it's been! I'm thrilled to have been a part of HiB since the beginning and to have grown with the company as its blossomed into the amazing success it is today. As logistics director, I'm now responsible for all transport and purchasing, and I take huge pride in that.
"It's been fantastic to see our hard work help transform HiB into a leading bathroom furniture brand. I'm as excited as ever to see where HiB goes next - the sky's the limit!"
Robert Ginsberg, managing director at HiB, comments: "We believe that nurturing our staff is absolutely key to the success of HiB, and it is fantastic to see long-standing employees such as Richard and Neil achieve such success. We hope to see more and more of our staff follow in their footsteps as we continue to develop as a business."
