AKW launches stylish chrome shower
AKW has once again proved that adapted bathroom products need not be stereotypically clinical in appearance with its launch of new stylish mixer shower Arka. A market leader in the provision of elderly and disabled bathroom solutions, AKW has developed a new thermostatic bar mixer shower in a chrome finish, proving that the company is fully in tune with modern interiors and understands well the importance of inclusive design.
Developed especially for the mobility and care market, the shower is easy to use and can be a great addition to any modern bathroom. Arka holds TMV3 approval and features dual independently operated flow and temperature controls for safer use and an extended hose length of 2m provides carers and users with extra manoeuvrability during showering. Other features include adjustable shower head - giving a choice of three spray patterns, chrome soap dish for easy reach and a 1m chrome riser-rail.
Its advanced thermostatic control, featuring override buttons and dual control temperature and flow settings, suits all users, while the paddle operating levels make showering easier - even for those with limited dexterity.
"Our aim was to provide a shower precisely tailored to the mobility market, that would also offer a contemporary design for any modern home," explains Ruth Bury, Group Marketing Director at AKW.
"Modern bathroom design is perfectly capable of encompassing the needs of every user in the home. Manufacturers that specialise in bathrooms for the elderly and less able are fully in tune with modern interiors - and well understand the importance of inclusive design.
"Our aim is to combine the practicalities essential to meet special needs with stylish options that move away from the stereotypically clinical look."
