Moben, Kitchens Direct, Dolphin and Sharps owner to enter administration

Homeform, which owns the Moben, Kitchens Direct, Dolphin Bathrooms and the Sharps Bedrooms brands, has announced that it is to go into administration.

Earlier this week the company said that it was close to securing a deal that would "safeguard the future" of Sharps and Kitchens Direct, but we understand that the Kitchens Direct deal has now fallen through.

Almost 3,000 jobs are at risk as a result of this administration, including 1,300 staff in 160 showrooms and 1,500 fitters and designers.

Homeform is owned by American private equity group Sun Capital Partners.

We understand that Magnet has offered to help Moben or Kitchens Direct customers who have lost their money and are now stuck without a kitchen, by giving them up to £1,000 or 10% off the value of a Magnet kitchen, if they order before 16th July.

Bathstore meanwhile, has announced that it will help any Dolphin Bathroom customer that loses their deposit if Dolphin defaults on an order and fails to refund the deposit to the customer, by supplying an equivalent product and service package for a price that is no higher than the price of the Dolphin order. It will also deduct the value of the lost deposit from the total price payable, up to a maximum of 25% of the total value of the Dolphin order.
