Steel used the show to launch a colourful collection of built-in ovens and hobs that was hard to miss! The display featured seven new built-in ovens from both the Ascot and Genesi collections, and a Genesi hob.
The Genesi range showcases bright and bold statement colours that I loved - but there was something for every taste as the Ascot range features deep and natural colours. Certain models of the new built-in ovens feature Steel's new and innovative combi-steam function, for flexible and healthy cooking.
Steel also showcased one of its latest innovations, which it believes is unique to the market - its combi-steam range cooker. The 100 cm range cooker, featuring Steel's combi-steam function, can be combined with other oven options including fan, conventional and fan assisted for excellent functionality and flexibility alongside professional results.
Steel also showed its In-line kitchen furniture range, which was configured to create a work preparation area. Steel's General Manager Uk, Mark Scott, explained how this furniture is built entirely to a customer's specification and can include anything from sinks and food preparation areas to cupboards and ovens.
John and I were also impressed by the Genesi refrigerator and hood, which showed just how all the company's appliances can be colour co-ordinated to create a statement in the kitchen.
Mark talked us through the new range cooker with an innovative combi-steam function, the Ascot 100 cm (A10SF-D-6).
This cooker features a modern combi-steam function in a 65 litre oven capacity, which may be combined with other oven options including fan, conventional and fan assisted for excellent functionality and flexibility alongside professional results. The versatile combi-steam range cooker has a water tank, so it is hassle free as no installation is necessary. The combi-steam function can cook anything from fish to vegetables to bread, and is perfect for creating a huge range of appetising and nutritional meals!
Steam cooking offers many benefits to the consumer, not only does food retain its natural flavour, taste, smell and colour more than traditional cooking, it is also healthier, as no oil or fat is needed. Steam cooked food conserves its vitamins and minerals better and cooks quicker. There is also no transfer of flavours between dishes, so different foods can be cooked together.
As with all of its range cookers, Steel manufactures the Ascot combi-steam range cooker, also available in the modern Genesi collection, to each customer's specification, so they can choose every aspect of the appliance right down to the hob options they desire, from gas burners to fry tops to induction. Steel also gives its customers the opportunity to choose their dream colour from the traditional colours of burgundy and navy blue, to the bright and bold colours including lime green and yellow.
"Steam cooking is incredibly beneficial to the consumer; and is not only healthy, it is quick and simple to use, and it can cook almost anything, making it a must-have function for the discerning buyer," said Mark to the small crowd that had gathered.
